  • Colgate’s connection to this year’s U.S. Open makes his major championship debut Thursday afternoon. Jesse Smith ’03 tied for medalist honors last week at Century Country Club & Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, N.Y., earning automatic qualification into his first U.S. Open. That event begins Thursday at Merion Golf Club outside Philadelphia.

  • After a national search, Victoria “Vicky” Chun ’91, MA’94 has been named athletics director of Colgate University effective January 1, President Jeffrey Herbst announced today. Chun, who has served as interim athletics director since August 1, will report to Douglas Hicks, provost and dean of the faculty.
