All Colgate students from families with annual income levels up to $175,000 will have federal loans replaced with University grants as part of the Colgate Commitment, beginning in the 2023–2024 academic year — an expansion from the current income threshold of $150,000. 

The Colgate University Board of Trustees unanimously voted on Monday, August 29, to extend the contract of President Brian W. Casey through 2030.

Colgate University welcomed the Class of 2026 to campus on Sunday, Aug. 21. With 817 members, this is the most selective and academically accomplished class in the history of the institution — formed from the largest applicant pool ever seen by the University.

Students, faculty, and staff gathered in Memorial Chapel on Tuesday morning for a vigil of solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The gathering was one of several moments during which Colgate community members have joined together to show their support for victims of the invasion since it began on Feb. 24.

Colgate University has received an all-time record number of applications for admission.

The upward trend follows on the heels of last year’s 6.4% increase in ED applications and historic 104% increase in total applications.
