According to experts in the field, 90 percent of the world’s data has been generated in the past two years. To ensure digital literacy in New York State, two Colgate University librarians, Jesi Buell and Joshua Finnell, seek to expand the skills of regional librarians.

Colgate’s Counseling and Psychological Services offered three weekly group therapy sessions three years ago.  Today, university counselors manage 10 to 12 group therapy sessions a week. In the 2018–19 school year, the counseling center provided services to 706 students, 7.4-percent increase compared to 2017–18.

In an effort to bring multilingual worlds home to Colgate University students, Professors Matthew Miller and Mahadevi Ramakrishnan from the German and French departments led 16 students on a one-week excursion to the TriRhena region in May.

Two Colgate University students accompanied Mahadevi Ramakrishnan, senior lecturer in French, to Santa Marta last month to present at the 44th Caribbean Studies Conference, hosted by the Caribbean Studies Association.
