Daniel B. Hurwitz ’86, P’17,’20, current Chair of the Colgate University Board of Trustees, has announced that he will step down from his chairmanship, effective May 4, 2019, in response to increased professional obligations.
Steve Fabiani, vice president and chief information officer, has accepted the position of vice president for digital innovation and technology at Hofstra University. He will take up his new role later this semester.
Colgate University has named Paul B. Mischler, currently deputy chief advancement officer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Medicine, as vice president for advancement at Colgate University. He will take up his new post on November 5.
Tara Bubble, deputy director of undergraduate admissions at Cornell University, has been named dean of admission at Colgate University. She will take up her new post on October 15.
Looking back on another successful fiscal year, the campus community is honoring the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends. Overall giving to Colgate rose nearly 10 percent to $35.1 million between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.
Hanna Rodriguez-Farrar, vice president for public affairs and university relations at Dominican University of California, will join Colgate University as chief of staff to the president starting August 1.
Courtney L. Young, head librarian and professor of women’s studies at Penn State University–Allegheny, has been named university librarian at Colgate and will take up her duties on July 1.
LeAnna Rice, Campus Advisor for the JED Foundation and former Mental Health Counselor and Outreach Coordinator for SUNY Binghamton University, will be Colgate’s next director of the ALANA Cultural Center, effective June 18, 2018.
