Colgate University’s 17th annual celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Week, Jan. 23–Feb. 1, kicked off with a keynote address by Wanjiku “Wawa” Gatheru, a Rhodes Scholar and environmental justice activist.
Jan. 10–13, Colgate University students embraced an opportunity to connect, recharge, and explore spirituality in the serene setting of Silver Bay, N.Y., during a retreat organized by the Office of the Chaplains and hosted at the Silver Bay YMCA.
On Oct. 28, Colgate University’s Keck Center for Language Study was standing room only as students and faculty gathered for the “Double Your World” and “Cake Night” mixer, an event designed to encourage students to explore the connections between language studies and other academic fields.
On Nov. 1, Colgate University held the inaugural Commons Cup Trivia Championship in the Edge Cafe, bringing together students from all four Residential Commons for a lively evening of intellectual rivalry and friendly competition.
Sep. 27–28, Colgate University hosted the biannual Michael J. Wolk ’60, MD, Conference on Medical Education, sponsored by the Michael Wolk Heart Foundation and organized by Colgate’s Health Sciences Advising Office and Career Services.
Colgate University has been ranked fourth among baccalaureate institutions in the 2024 Sustainable Campus Index, retaining its gold status through AASHE’s STARS program.
