Clayton Christensen kicked off Colgate University’s Innovation + Disruption symposium today with cautionary tales of industry giants felled by technological disruption, and why higher education should pay attention to the growth of online universities.

Few in attendance were surprised when Evan Chartier ’14, a sociology and anthropology and women’s studies double major from Oak Park Ill., was called to receive the 1819 Award, Colgate’s most selective and prestigious recognition.

There was a maroon-clad, giant-headed mascot running through the streets of New York City, April 24. Colgate’s beloved Raider took over the university twitter feed, @colgateuniv, while seeing the sights and meeting with alumni and other friends of Colgate.
