Many tributes have poured in following the death of Andy Rooney ’42 P’74, GP’05, the legendary newsman who passed away Friday in New York City.

Andy Rooney ’42 P’74, GP’05, the Colgate curmudgeon known by millions for his slice-of-life commentaries on “60 Minutes,” has died at the age of 92. CBS said he died from complications from a recent surgery.

Sasha Reed ’97, a research ecologist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), has received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
