Student Nondiscrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct Policy
Colgate’s Student Non-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Policy prohibits acts of discrimination, harassment, sexual assault and sexual exploitation, as well as domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
Colgate’s Student Discrimination and Harassment Resources and Response Procedures provide information about supportive and protective measures available to individuals experiencing discrimination or harassment based upon characteristics protected by applicable law including race, color, pregnancy, religion, creed, national origin (including ancestry), citizenship status, physical or mental disability, age, marital status, veteran or military status (including special disabled veteran, Vietnam-era veteran, or recently separated veteran), predisposing genetic characteristics, or domestic violence victim status (collectively, “Prohibited Conduct”). The procedure for initiating complaints of harassment or discrimination based on these protected characteristics and the University’s process for resolving them is accessible online.
Colgate’s Student Sex- or Gender-Based Discrimination and Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Resources and Response Procedures provide information about supportive and protective measures available to individuals experiencing discrimination or harassment based upon sex, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression; sexual assault; domestic violence; dating violence; or stalking based on sex; other forms of sexual misconduct described below; or related acts of retaliation (collectively, “Sex- or Gender-Based Prohibited Conduct”). The procedure for initiating complaints of harassment or discrimination based on sex- or gender-based prohibited conduct and the University’s process for resolving them is accessible online.
The information contained in this publication applies to the academic years 2024–2025, but this handbook is not to be regarded as a contract between the student and the University. The University reserves the right to change requirements, policies, rules, and regulations without prior notice in accordance with established procedures.
