As part of our continuous effort to be good stewards of campus, and in maintenance of Colgate's landscape and tree canopy, we will be removing several willow trees from Willow Path this week. Our campus arborist has helped to determine which trees to remove based on failing health and safety hazard concerns.January 15, 2024

Last night at about 10 p.m., the Campus Safety Department was alerted to anonymous posters, some of which could be read as antisemitic, taped on exterior doors and interior bulletin boards in buildings on the residential and academic quadrangles. These were removed, as Colgate policy strictly prohibits posters without a sponsoring organization.November 1, 2023

I write to update the Colgate community on steps the University is taking, and has already taken, as we continue our work to enroll talented students from a wide pool of diverse applicants in an admission landscape clearly altered by the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision to prohibit race-based affirmative action in student admissions.August 30, 2023

It’s important to note, at the start of this letter, that the initiatives under the Third-Century Plan are quite wide-ranging; touching, as they do, every corner of Colgate’s enterprise. Several of these initiatives, such as the build out of the Middle Campus, will take years to complete.February 15, 2023
