Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m – 11 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday: 2 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Alex Lavon

I joined Colgate in December of 2014 as the new daytime Help Desk Technician. I moved to Hamilton about 3 years ago from Woodbury, New York where I grew up. Since moving, I've worked in both Level 1 and Level 2 help desk roles in businesses throughout the Central New York area. While the pursuit of technology is my professional ambition, I followed my personal passions to SUNY Purchase where I completed the Studio Composition program and obtained my Bachelor of Music degree. When I’m not answering calls at the Help Line, you can find me performing, writing, and recording music in the community.

I joined Colgate in December 2014 taking up the position of Help Desk Technician. I'm originally from the Binghamton area of the Southern Tier of New York and went to SUNY Morrisville for my Bachelors in Software Development.  I enjoy working with technology, especially computer hardware and gadgets, but also have a passion for the outdoors.  I like to go hiking, camping, backpacking, and everything else I can find to do outdoors all year round.

Instructional technologist office hours
Faculty can meet one on one with an instructional technologist in their home environment. Each week during the semester, regular office hours are scheduled on all academic buildings. Click here to see the calendar.
