Labs and Facilities

Public labs offer you a range of options from quickly checking your e-mail to working on a research paper or using specialty software not available on your personal computer.

Saving Your Files

Use caution when saving work in a public lab. Any files saved on the hard drive of the computer are erased when you log off. Use a USB flash drive, network file storage, e-mail documents to yourself, or upload to Google Drive to ensure your work is saved.

Logging Off

Be sure to log out of all accounts when you are finished in a public lab. Also make sure you have logged off the computer when finished.
