Please note that, for the 2019-20 academic year, financial aid eligibility will be based on income information from tax year 2017. Continuing students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile as soon as possible in order to meet the November 30th deadline.
All continuing students should be able to view their financial aid awards on their student portal by early June 2019, provided that all required financial aid applications and documents have been received.
If there are significant changes in your family’s financial situation, please contact our office so that your change in circumstances can be taken into consideration when reviewing your financial aid eligibility.
International students currently receiving financial aid do not need to reapply for aid annually. Financial aid eligibility will automatically be reviewed based upon the initial application filed prior to enrollment.
International students who become U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens during their enrollment will thereafter be treated as domestic students and must reapply for aid annually.
International students who did not receive Colgate aid upon admission are not eligible for aid in subsequent years.
Applying for Federal Student Aid Only
Domestic students applying only for
federal student aid need not meet the deadlines noted above, and need not submit the CSS PROFILE. They may instead submit just the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (
FAFSA) at any time during, or in the months immediately preceding, the academic year for which they are seeking federal assistance.
