Colgate University welcomed alumni for two reunion weekends this month, reviving the tradition last enjoyed on campus during the Bicentennial Reunion of 2019.

Members of the Colgate community and the University’s Board of Trustees gathered at Olin Hall on Friday, May 6, as the University broke ground on the Robert H.N. Ho Mind, Brain, and Behavior Center.

Colgate University publicly launched the most significant philanthropic campaign in its 203-year history on Friday, April 22, kicking off the largest such campaign undertaken by a liberal arts college.

The Colgate community came together for a weekend celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of coeducation.

Thirteen women graduates of the University have stepped forward with $13 million to support the Third-Century Plan.

Trustee Emeritus Chase Carey ’76, his wife, Wendy, and their children Steve ’12 and Tara ’13 have made a transformative $25 million gift to spearhead a comprehensive renovation of the Reid Athletic Center and support other elements of the University’s Third-Century Plan.

A generous $5 million gift from Trustee Emeritus Rob Kindler ’76, P’04,’08,’12 and his wife, Sydney P’17,’20, in support of the Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation has moved Colgate University one step closer to its vision of integrating arts and innovation in a wide range of programs across campus.

Colgate University has announced the creation of four new endowed chairs, approved by the Board of Trustees during its January 2022 meeting, all made possible due to the generosity of Colgate alumni. 

More than 4,400 alumni, family, and friends contributed to the Colgate Together Challenge.

Trustee emeritus Robert Fox ’59, GP’23,’25 has given $10 million to build Fox Hall at Colgate University, the first residence hall of the University’s fifth Residential Commons. The gift was acknowledged by the Board of Trustees during its fall meeting, Sept. 30–Oct. 1.
