Hamilton, NY — The Colgate University women’s soccer team has been honored as one of the nation’s best in the classroom as well as the playing field, having received the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America honors clubs that achieved a 3.0 grade point average or higher as a team during the 2001-02 academic year. The Raiders accumulated a 3.12 GPA.
Colgate had another strong season under head coach Kathy Brawn, advancing to the Patriot League title game for the 10th time in the 12-year history of the League.
The award will be presented at the College Coaches Luncheon Thursday, Jan. 16 during the 2003 NSCAA Convention, held Jan. 15-19 in Kansas City, Mo.
