Hamilton, NY — Off to its best start since the 1992 season, the Colgate softball team (5-0) will travel to Fordham University on Saturday where it will play the Rams and Marist College, before traveling to Drexel on Sunday for a doubleheader. On Saturday, the Raiders will play Fordham at 2 p.m., before squaring off against Marist College at 4 p.m.

Colgate opened its season with five wins at the George Washington Invitational led by a pitching staff that allowed one earned run in 30 innings. Senior Elena Isaac picked up a pair of victories along with freshman Kelsey Nordstrom, while sophomore Kate Howard had the other win.
Colgate’s twin sisters, Natalie and Nichole Rawson, provided the offensive punch batting .538 and .533 respectively during the GW Invitational. Natalie Rawson had three doubles, one triple and four RBI, while Nichole Rawson pounded four doubles and three RBI. Sophomore Erin Hanna hit .333 with four RBI.
Following this weekend’s action, Colgate will travel to the Rebel Games in Orlando, Fla., March 13-21.
