Colgate University has rescheduled the reception for members of the community to meet the architects David Adjaye, Joseph Franchina, and Marc McQuade of Adjaye Associates for Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. at the Barge Canal Coffee Co., 37 Lebanon Street.
The team will be in town to initiate the design process for a new Center for Art and Culture envisioned for the downtown business district in the Village of Hamilton. The event — free and open to the public — is intended to provide a casual meet-and-greet opportunity in advance of a more structured design discussion planned for the community in early September.
Adjaye Associates is an internationally acclaimed practice with extensive experience in creating unique cultural spaces around the world. With offices in London, Berlin, and New York, Adjaye Associates has been commissioned for prestigious residential, commercial, and educational projects in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and elsewhere in the world.
