I stopped in to see my Creative Writing professor before my afternoon seminar. We discussed my most recent story, threw different ideas back and forth, and then he mentioned the dreaded ‘life after Colgate’ question.
‘I’d like to get these stories done before I graduate,’ I said, gathering my books to leave.
‘But if you don’t, that’s okay,’ he said. ‘I’m happy to help you even after you graduate. You can keep sending me things over e-mail.’
