Colgate took the lead with a 15 point scoring surge ignited by a lay-up from Chigozie Ozor (Ann Arbor, Mich.) at 17:30 in the first half.   Junior forward Milaina Lagzdins (Burlington, Ont.) capped the run with a jumper at 11:27.  The Raiders would extend their lead to as many as 19 points before the Bobcats retaliated with 12 unanswered points to end the half.  The Raiders headed into the locker room up just 40-36 at the break.

The Raiders were able to maintain their tenuous lead until 13:38 when Quinnipiac’s Katie Keilty drained a three-pointer to give the Bobcats a one point advantage.  Colgate couldn’t quite regain its momentum in the second half as Quinnipiac pulled ahead by 13 with 7:30 left to play.  The Raiders were able to close the gap to five with just over a minute to play, but the Bobcats held on to seal the 84-77 victory.

Ozor and senior Malissa Burke (Traverse City, Mich.) added 14 points to the effort and freshman Molly Patterson contributed 10.   Ozor dished five assists, while Braseth, Burke, and Patterson handed out four apiece.

Krystal Pressley led four Bobcats scoring in double-figures with 21 points.  Keilty and Ashlee Kelly turned in 20 point performances, while Helen Ridley netted 11 points.  Kelly also grabbed 13 rebounds to record her 39th career double-double as a Bobcat.

The Raiders fall to 6-2 with the loss and the Bobcats improve to 5-2.  Colgate is back in action after a break for the holidays when they take to the road to compete against Central Michigan at 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 28.
