Colgate’s NCAA graduate success rate was 98 percent for the second year in a row, putting the Raiders in a tie for best in the Patriot League and fourth in the nation, behind only Brown, Dartmouth, and Notre Dame. This is according to NCAA data, compiling the four-class average of student-athletes that entered their schools from 2003-06.
“Our 98 percent graduation success rate is a testament to the high caliber of student-athlete our coaches are recruiting to succeed both academically and athletically at Colgate,” Director of Athletics Victoria M. Chun said.
Student-athletes succeeded in a variety of ways during the 2012-13 academic year, including:
- Chris Looney and James Queeney were named to Capital One Academic All-America teams.
- Peter Baum was Colgate’s first overall No. 1 draft pick by a professional sports league.
- Colgate placed 193 student-athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Rolls.
- Raiders teams won Patriot League championships in football, volleyball and women’s soccer.
- Colgate earned six different major Patriot League individual awards.
