Financial aid, Division I athletics, off-campus study, internships — which aspects of the Colgate experience inspire you? That’s the question the university has posed every day for the past two weeks as Fiscal Year 2014 comes to a Photo Finish.
Through photography, Colgate’s Photo Finish campaign demonstrates the impact of financial support on undergraduates. For every picture, there dozens of additional programs that are touched by philanthropy: the Upstate Institute, the university’s robust sustainability office, arts initiatives, faculty-student research partnerships, and much more.
So, with 13 photos in the gallery, the university isn’t slowing its pace as it nears the wire.
“There are so many different ways that we can support the university before June 30,” said Senior Class Gift Committee member Camille Solarte ’14. “Just picture your favorite Colgate moment, and realize that a gift can make that moment real for a current student.”
Nearly 10 percent of the university’s budget comes from annual gifts and grants. The loyalty of community members makes it possible for Colgate to plan from a position of strength and implement programs that make four years at Colgate so transformative for students — including those shown in the Photo Finish gallery.
“This campaign paints a picture — of community-wide generosity and the way it shapes lives,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Murray Decock ’80. “I believe our students can inspire even more alumni, parents, and friends to step forward during these last three days of 2014.”
A gift in support of any university initiative has an immediate impact on Colgate undergraduates. Please, visit colgate.edu/makeagift today, and show your support as we bring fiscal year 2014 to a photo finish.
