Colgate University staff photographer Andy Daddio was recently recognized by his peers with two first-place awards during the 2012 University Photographers Association of America awards show.
The first award was first place for photography for the Colgate viewbook. Each year the viewbook is filled with imagery that tells the story of Colgate. The submission included these photos:
The second award was for the Publications of Excellence, which also showcases the university to prospective students. You can see these publications on the admission page.
In all, this is the 10th award given to Daddio from his peers at the UPAA.
These awards aren’t a surprise to people who follow Colgate on the web. From the images at colgate.edu to the sets and galleries in Flickr, people have enjoyed Daddio’s photography for years.
As of this writing, there are 1.7 million views of the university Flickr stream. So while his peers have acknowledged Daddio, the masses have also acknowledged his talent by looking at his pictures in huge numbers.
