Hamilton, NY — Colgate University head football coach Dick Biddle will greet 29 freshmen candidates on Thursday, August 15, as the Raiders open their 2002 preseason camp.
The upperclassmen are slated to arrive on campus, Sunday, August 18.
The freshmen will go through their physicals, equipment issue and orientation on Thursday between 10 am-4 pm, before practicing together for the first time at 4:20. After dinner, the first-year players will return to the practice field at 7:30.
The upperclassmen come into camp on Sunday checking into their rooms and taking their physicals between 10 am-4 pm. The entire squad will practice together for the first time on Monday morning at 12:01 am (the football version of Midnight Madness). They are also scheduled to practice at 3:15 on Monday.
Colgate opens its season on Saturday, September 7, at home against Villanova University in a non-conference game. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
