Hamilton, NY — Soprano Cherie Woodland Hughes, a 1995 Colgate University graduate, will return to campus to present a program of music by Poulenc, Weill, Wolf and others on Thursday, March 23. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Colgate Memorial Chapel at 12:30. Refreshments will be served. Hughes, who is pursuing a doctorate in voice at the University of Oregon, holds a masters degree in violin performance from Texas Tech University. Hughes has an active teaching studio in Portland, Oregon, where she has lived for several years. She will be accompanied by pianist Kerry Koen, a 1974 graduate of Colgate who currently is staff accompanist at Colgate and maintains an active private studio in the Village of Hamilton.
