This Tuesday at 11:15 a.m., Colgate’s annual awards convocation will take place in Memorial Chapel. During this ceremony, some of Colgate’s top-performing students will be recognized for their academic achievement.
Honors such as the prestigious 1819 award and national fellowships will be presented by faculty and senior administrators. To help recognize these students for their outstanding endeavors, be sure to stop by the Chapel! If you can’t attend, watch the ceremony live.
With final exams coming up, many students are beginning to sweat. Beat the stress with cookie study breaks hosted by the Shaw Wellness Institute throughout the week. Stop by Chapel House between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday to enjoy some peace, quiet, and cookies.

On Thursday, head over to Hamilton Movie Theater to for a screening of Cesar Chavez at 10 p.m., presented by the Latin American Student Organization.
This film follows the life of Chavez, a labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association along with Dolores Huerta.
This stunning film is one you won’t want to miss, so be sure to grab some friends and head downtown for a study break!
Want to get active while supporting a good cause? This Saturday Clean Water Coalition is supporting a 5K run to raise money for the Chenango Canal’s History on the Summit Summer Program for kids in the community.
After a $10 registration fee, participants are welcome to either run or walk for the 5 kilometers along the Chenango Canal Towpath Trail, starting from Hamilton Airport.
Registration begins at Hamilton Airport at 9 a.m., the run begins at 10 a.m., and all walkers will head out at 10:30 a.m. All age groups are welcome! Pre-registration will also take place all week at the COOP.
