The article “Becoming Stone: On the Coming-into-Being of Fossils in the American West” by Associate Professor of Anthropology Elana Shever was recently published in Anthropology Quarterly. According to the article abstract, Processor Shever says “this down-to-earth examination of a few crucial moments in the formation of Triceratops skull fossils exposes the more-than-human process through which stones come into being.”
