The sun shone brightly that Friday afternoon of the last day of classes in front of Colgate’s Memorial Chapel and over the recipients of the geography awards.
Emily Balog ’24 received the Peter Gould Award, which is presented to a senior geography major who has enriched the geography community through exemplary leadership, service, and achievement.
Jason Qian ’24 received the Shannon McCune Award, which is presented is presented to the senior geography major who has demonstrated outstanding academic merit and promise, as judged by the department’s faculty.
Sophia Ceconi ’26 and Katrina Wright ’26 both received the Kevin Williams ’10 Endowed Memorial Fellowship Award. This award was established in memory of Kevin Williams ’10 to provide stipend support for one or more geography majors to travel while studying abroad.
