Professor Nicole Simpson's Economics of Immigration class is blogging about their course work, travels and experiences. The class blog can be found here. The class is part of the Sophomore Residential Seminars (SRS) program at Colgate that allows students and faculty to travel as a group connected to an on-campus course. The group is going to the U.S.-Mexico border in January 2020 and has already visited the US-Canada border this fall. The class is also hosting an art exhibit between November 16 and December 4.The exhibit is called "Painting the Border: A Child's Voice" and includes paintings from children who are stranded in Juarez, Mexico as a result of deportations and changes in asylum rules. The exhibit will be in the SRS house (100 Hamilton St).
