Professor David Murphy is working on a research project in Kisumu, Kenya

Back to Economics News and Updates

David Murphy, who has already run several research projects in Kenya related to development economics, is initiating another randomized control trial in the country. Given Pentecostalism is the fastest growing religion in the global south, he and his research partners at Bates College, College of the Holy Cross, and Maseno University (Kenya) wish to understand whether hearing messages associated with this religion affects economic behavior and decision-making. In these pictures, David is training the survey enumerators for this project in Kisumu, Kenya.
