Greg Jeffris is a 20+ year Colgate B&G employee. In 2017, he and his wife, Sherry, built a new home and shortly thereafter he was diagnosed with cancer. Because of his illness, he wasn’t able to complete all of the projects he had in mind for the new home. A few months ago, several of his B&G co-workers reached out to ask what they could do to help, and it was decided that on November 2, the guys would gather to build basement storage shelves that Greg wanted.
As luck would have it, Greg and Sherry’s house lost power in the Halloween wind/rain storm, so Sherry reached out to the guys to tell them they wouldn’t be able to build the shelves that day. They had planned to have a generator in their new house but that was another project that Greg was unable to finish.
The guys wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. They came anyway, and brought generators and wire and truckloads of tools and not only did they build those storage shelves, they wired the house for a generator, and they thanked Greg’s family for “letting” them.
