COVID Home Test Kits
Effective Jan. 15, 2022, new federal regulatory guidance required that medical plans must provide coverage for the cost of over-the-counter (OTC) at-home COVID-19 antigen tests, including tests obtained without a healthcare provider’s order or authorization. OptumRx offers members the option to order COVID-19 test kits online at the Optum Store with $0 member cost-share. Members may sign in at optumrx.com and are limited to eight tests (four kits) per household per calendar month. Members pay for shipping, or it’s free when they spend $45 or more (equivalent to two kits).
