Joe Ferlo completed his studies at Berklee College of Music, and took to the road in New England to gig the region's R & B scene. His path ultimately led him back to central New York, where he has performed with many of the area's premier players. Joe's versatility is evident from the moment he places a guitar in his hands. His musical virtuosity weaves seamlessly through the jazz related styles of the American Songbook, the roots of R & B, and its current expression in the Rock & Roll of our modern age. Today, Joe continues his multi-faceted role as guitar teacher, solo performer and sideman to individual artists, and as a featured player within ensemble groups. He is guitarist for the jazz trio O.G.D. (organ/guitar/drums).
Originally from Rome, New York, Joe has played guitar for over forty years. He's a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he lived and performed for twelve years, and is Teacher of Guitar at Colgate University.
