Our Faith Communities

Many of our students actively engage with their beliefs and faiths through student-led religious organizations. These groups support education and acceptance with frequent interfaith initiatives and events.
Buddhist Life

Buddhist Life
Founded in 2003, the BSA meets regularly for meditation. A student-run organization, the group facilitates discussions on Buddhist thought and how to integrate the teachings into the lives of busy college students. The BSA makes a number of visits each semester to monasteries, conferences, and retreat centers in the upstate New York area.

Need to Talk?

Are you experiencing an illness, career decisions, crisis of faith, death of a loved one, relationship issues, choosing a major, coming out, homesick, or sexual harassment.

These are some of the things that bring students to the chaplains' office; whatever it is, we're here for you.

Campus chaplains are trained religious professionals. In addition to offering pastoral counseling, we serve the greater Colgate Community regardless of religious affiliation.
