Celebrate the Experience P’19

Dear senior parents,

Colgate will be a significant chapter in your student’s personal history, and the Class of 2019 will represent an important milestone in the history of the University. I am proud that my son Andrew will be part of Colgate’s historic Bicentennial Class, and I am excited to share an opportunity we all have to honor our students’ time on the hill.

Celebrate the Experience P’19 is a tradition through which senior parents make a capstone gift to Colgate. During this Bicentennial year, Colgate has set an ambitious goal to raise $2 million in support for University programs from parents of the Class of 2019. I am pleased to report that senior parents have already contributed $1.6 million toward that goal.

Will you help us make an impact on the University’s third century? Make a gift online at colgate.edu/makeagift, by calling 800-668- 4428, or give via venmo@colgateuniv before June 30.

A gift to any area of Colgate counts toward Celebrate the Experience P’19, and we encourage you to direct your gift to an initiative that impacted your student. So far, the most popular gift has been in support of students pursuing unpaid or underpaid summer internships. You may also be interested in contributing to the Class of 2019 Bicentennial Courtyard.

I was inspired to serve as chair of Celebrate the Experience P’19 because I saw something profound happening at the University — lives being shaped through rigorous academics in a supportive environment with a distinctive spirit. My wife, Karen, and I want to ensure that these unique Colgate strengths will be preserved for future generations, and I hope you will join us. I look forward to seeing you as we celebrate commencement.
