Merrill L. Miller MD
Dr. Merrill Miller is in her 34th year as Director of Health Services for Colgate's 2850 students and team Physician for Colgate's athletic teams. She has been hailed in the "Medics " section of People magazine as the country's first and only female head physician for a Division I or I-AA college football team. A native of Kew Gardens, New York, she is a graduate of Cornell University. She did her medical training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the University at Buffalo, and SUNY-Upstate Medical University, where she maintains a faculty position in adolescent medicine/pediatrics. She is co-chairperson of Colgate's Health Sciences Advisory Committee, a founding co-chair of Colgate's Wellness Institute, a Board member (and past President) of SOMAC Ambulance Corps, an Advisory Board member of the Fiver Children's Foundation, and a Board member (and past President ) of Community Memorial Hospital. She is a recipient of the Pediatrician of the Year, John LeFevre Athletic Appreciation, and Maroon Council awards. She has received the Colgate Senior Class Award, a Maroon Citation, and was elected to the Colgate Hall of Honor in 2013. She is also the host and producer of the weekly WRCU-FM radio show, "What's Up, Doc?"
