Hosting Summer Programs at Colgate

Every summer, thousands of people descend on Colgate University and Hamilton, N.Y., for a variety of rich, engaging activities, including 40–50 camps and conferences and 6–10 weddings.
Additionally, the village hosts nearly 300 Colgate students for research projects, volunteer work, summer employment, and the OUS Summer Institute, while over 2,000 alumni return for Reunion and other programs. Meanwhile, over 2,500 potential students visit the university with their families.

Thanks to the natural beauty of the Chenango Valley and the Colgate campus (recently named the most beautiful campus in America by the Princeton Review), Colgate is the ideal host for many activities. Located about 10 miles from the geographic center of New York state, Colgate is only one hour from the Syracuse Hancock International Airport. To make travel arrangements as easy and as affordable as possible, the university has contracted with First Transit to offer the On-Demand Shuttle Service, a service available to all camp and conference guests.

If you host your event at Colgate, the entire university is at your disposal. Its air-conditioned libraries and study areas; its ample athletics facilities, ones that include an Olympic-sized swimming pool with a retractable roof; tennis courts; a fitness center; miles of wooded paths for running or walking; a boathouse; an 18-hole championship golf course; computer facilities and wireless access throughout campus; all the resources of a major university are ours. We've chosen to highlight a few of our favorites here, but we encourage you to visit our campus to discover the facilities that work best for you.

If you're looking for a site for your program or event, please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to discussing the possibilities with you.
