Robert A. Fox '59 Leadership Institute

The Leadership Institute challenges our students to be intentional in the analysis and development of the behaviors and processes that motivate change.

The Institute was designed initially as a training program for students holding leadership positions on campus. Recently, Colgate students have expressed a need for opportunities to build critical leadership skills beyond designated positions. Now, through the Fox Leadership Institute, students can work closely with mentors to develop ideas and guide their development from conception to completion.

The structure of the Institute includes:
  • Two weekend retreats each year (one per semester), which are open to all interested students.
  • A guest speaker in the spring, which is open to all interested students.
  • Six workshops throughout the academic year for student Leadership Consultants selected from a pool of applicants.
