As director of the Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism and Education, Krista guides her team in engaging students in learning through service that produces students who are civically engaged and graduates who are active, global citizens. Krista draws on more than 15 years of experience in higher education administration at the University of Chicago, Dartmouth College, University of Massachusetts Amherst and Chatham College. In addition to her position at Colgate, Krista currently serves on the New York Campus Compact advisory board. Krista also sits on the NASPA Public Policy Board and the NASPA Region II Executive Board. Krista’s professional interests include the impact of civic engagement on student success outcomes, higher education-community partnerships and millennial community engagement. Krista holds a Bachelors of Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University and a Masters of Public Policy and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. Krista, her husband, and their two children love traveling and volunteering as a family.

Meghan joined the Max. A Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism and Education in January of 2014. Meghan's primary areas of responsibility include overseeing the ongoing student volunteer programs, including advising a number of student volunteer teams; coordinating the Alternative Break Program and supervising the COVE interns. Meghan comes to Colgate from Syracuse, NY where she was the Program Coordinator with Success By 6 at the United Way of Central New York. She graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications, and is an AmeriCorps alum.

Colleen first arrived at Colgate in 1992, working in several different areas of the University before joining the COVE staff in 2004. Colleen’s primary areas of responsibility include serving as an adviser to several COVE volunteer teams; coordinating the COVE’s pre-orientation Outreach program for incoming first year students as well as the annual Salvage Collection program which collects the items left by students and distributes them to not for profit agencies in the surrounding community; supervising COVE interns and managing the COVE office. In addition to her position at the COVE, Colleen is a member of the Madison County Domestic and Sexual Violence Coalition and the presidentially appointed Sexual Climate Advisory Committee. Colleen is passionate about community service as a lifestyle. She is a lifetime resident of the area and shares a happy life with her two grown children and spouse.
