Community-Based Teams

The core of activity at the COVE is done by our student-run organizations and clubs that do work in the community. While the groups are student-run, the professional staff at the COVE provide guidance and leadership training to help these teams constantly improve. Programs

In addition to our community-based teams, we also offer the following programs:

• First-year orientation: Outreach


• Alternative breaks: Domestic and international service trips


• Salvage: Recovery and donation of campus materials


• Awareness events: Speakers, lunches, and special events


• Collaboration: Working together with other COVE and campus groups


• Afternoons of service: Working together to benefit the community


• Summer fellowship: Pursue an internship in public or community work


• Interfaith service: Using service to break down religious barriers


• Grant-writing course: Learn how nonprofits apply for grants


• Social innovation: Learn the power of design thinking, prototyping, storytelling, and leadership


• High School Seminars: High school students can get a taste of the college experience.
