Year of ’13

We celebrated this once-in-a-century annum with events on the 13th of each month.

Year of ’13 Challenge

The capstone event was the Year of ’13 Challenge which saw 5,683 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends rising to the challenge, with the university receiving gifts totaling $5.1 million — in a SINGLE day.

“To our knowledge, this is the largest dollar amount and number of gifts collected in a single day by a liberal arts college,” said Senior Vice President of Institutional External Relations, Advancement and Initiatives Murray Decock ’80.

"Not another Class of Thirteen
shall be seen within these walls
Till a hundred long years distant,
when her present sons have passed"
