General Reunion Information

A variety of options are available to suit your needs, whether you're arriving on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Learn about registration options.

Refund Policy
Refunds are available until May 16, 2018. Two small deductions are non-refundable: the $5 gift to Colgate included in the registration and a $15 processing fee. See our refund policy.
Arrival, Registration, and Other Resources - Reunion Headquarters
Location: Donovan’s Pub, James C. Colgate Student Union

Make Reunion Headquarters your first stop on campus—pick up your registration packets, on-campus housing information and keys, see who is attending from your class, and more. Staff members are on hand all weekend to help meet your needs and answer your questions.

Open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m.
Open Sunday from 8:00 a.m.–noon

Check Out and Room Key Return
All Reunion attendees staying in campus housing must return room keys before departing campus.

Friday and Saturday: Return keys between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. at Reunion Headquarters
Sunday: Return keys between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at Reunion Headquarters or Curtiss E. Frank Dining Hall.

Keys may also be deposited in the key drop boxes located at: James C. Colgate Student Union (inside the front middle door), East Hall, Parker Commons, Townhouses, Drake Hall, and Persson Hall (outside, near the road). In order to get credit for returning your keys, please place key(s) in an envelope with your name and phone number.

Failure to return keys prior to departing campus will result in a $150 locksmith charge. Keys must be returned before noon on Sunday and cannot be mailed back to campus. If you have any questions, please call 315-228-7433.
Access Passes and Meal Tickets
After you check in at Reunion Headquarters, you will receive an Access Pass. Keep this with you all weekend. Staff and alumni want to know your name! This pass also grants you access to Whitnall Field. Only registered guests can enjoy meals and special events.

Alumni and guests who register for the Full Weekend, Friday Only, and Saturday Only options will receive relevant meal tickets in their access pass. Please present the appropriate ticket upon entrance to each meal. Please note that the Raider Weekend option does not include meals.
Saturday Evening Formal Dinners for Classes and Affinity Groups
On Saturday evening, formal dinners will be held for reunion year classes, OUS, Phi Delta Theta, and Perennials (returning alumni whose graduating year does not end in 3 or 8).

Alumni and guests who select the Full Weekend and Saturday Only registration options are invited to attend these dinners. If you plan to attend a Saturday evening formal dinner, please select the Full Weekend or Saturday Only option when registering.

Please note that these dinners are open to guests aged 21 and over. Alternative arrangements should be made for meals and childcare for younger guests.

Formal Dinner Attire: These dinners are dressier than other Reunion events, although apparel varies by Reunion year:
  • For most class and affinity group dinners, men can choose to wear a nice shirt, jacket, or tie as they prefer. Ladies are welcome to wear skirts, dresses, or other summer dressy apparel. Please no jeans, shorts, or flip flops.
  • For the 25th class, Saturday evening dinner is a more formal affair, with men wearing jackets and/or ties and ladies in nice comparable attire.
  • For the 50th class, cocktail hour and dinner on Thursday night are formal, while dinner on Saturday night is casual.
Family Programs
Colgate Reunion isn’t just for adults. Families are encouraged to attend. We offer a full schedule of family-oriented activities and child care services.

Thursday/Friday: 7:00 a.m.–10:30 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday: 9:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
Equipment for racket sports, as well as for basketball, volleyball, softball, and bocce, may be checked out from the equipment room at no charge. The sauna is also available during open hours. Please note: Huntington second floor and martial arts studio will be closed on Saturday.

Wireless Internet and E-mail Access
Wireless internet access is available throughout campus. Select ColgateGuest in your list of available wireless networks, and acknowledge the acceptable use statement.

Computers are available at Case-Geyer Library during regular business hours.
Alcohol Policy
Under New York State law, persons under the age of 21 cannot purchase or be served alcoholic beverages. The university requests that everyone conform to the letter of the law. Beer, wine, and mixers are provided in the tents until 1:30 a.m. There will be a cash bar offering mixed drinks on the field.
Sustainability and Green Initiatives
Reunion supports Colgate's Sustainability Initiatives and Climate Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2019.

This year, we have introduced an opportunity to support the newly-created Green Revolving Loan Fund when registering for Reunion. The Green Revolving Loan Fund is the gift that keeps on giving by financing campus sustainability projects and renewable energy that lowers Colgate's carbon footprint while reducing annual operating costs. The energy and resource savings from financed projects are reinvested into the fund so it grows over time.

We are proud to continue our commitment to sustainability in the following ways:
  • E-mail is the primary method for marketing Reunion, reducing the amount of paper used.
  • Local produce and products are integrated into meals.
  • Composting food waste for Friday barbecue lunches and dinners.
  • Water coolers are provided around campus in place of one-time use, disposable water bottles.
  • Recycling presence throughout headquarters and tents.
  • Golf carts used for transportation around campus to reduce greenhouse emissions.
  • Dining services uses biodegradable plates, utensils, cups, and napkins.
