Women at Colgate

Women at Colgate alumnae affinity group provides opportunities for Colgate women to connect over shared passions and ideas.
Alumnae enjoy being back on campus for Reunion.
Women at Colgate's goal is to promote the active involvement of Colgate’s alumnae with the university and with each other. Our mission supports the university’s goal of fostering lifelong connectedness for the Colgate community, with a particular focus on the interests of the growing alumnae population.

Focus on Four Primary Areas

Cultural and Social Gatherings – We sponsor events that capture the Colgate spirit of lifelong learning. Programs build on the common-bond experience of a strong liberal arts education, and foster informal social meeting among Colgate women.

Career Networking and Mentoring – We encourage and provide opportunities for networking and mentoring among alumnae, focusing on issues that have particular relevance for women’s lives.

Fundraising and Development – We believe it is important for alumnae to support the university financially, and we work to increase the percentage and average dollar amount of alumnae gifts. In part, this goal is achieved indirectly by offering programming and resources that help women feel positive connections to the school. In addition, alumnae participate in specific fundraising activities to bolster alumnae giving.

Colgate Awareness – We seek opportunities to help alumnae stay updated on the evolving nature of the university, including programming that provides opportunities for alumnae to interact with faculty and staff.
