Living Writers

The 2016 Living Writers includes prize-winning writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, as well as a filmmaker and a cartoonist.

The Experience

ENROLL TODAYJoin Jennifer Brice and colleagues as they explore the work of 10 exciting artists. Every week features fresh content inside ColgateX: videos, podcasts, reviews, interviews, book excerpts, and more. Tune in for artist talks and readings as well as ongoing book discussions. Experience rich discussions with students, faculty, and fellow readers. The level of engagement is entirely up to you. You’ll be just as welcome at one event as at all ten.
Faculty
Jennifer Brice
An associate professor of English at Colgate, Jennifer Brice is a writer and teacher of creative nonfiction. Her first book, The Last Settlers, is a work of documentary journalism, and her second, Unlearning to Fly, is a memoir-in-essays. Her essays have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including The Dolphin Reader, The Gettysburg Review, River Teeth, and American Nature Writing. A regular member of the Colgate Writers’ Conference faculty, she is at work on a collection of essays about being in love with the material world.
