It’s an opportunity we don’t take for granted—the chance to talk to you about Colgate and about the match for your students. We welcome your calls and emails—at every stage of the process—and will always do our best to provide you with the information you need. Our staff directory details the regions that each of us covers.

We hope this page gives you everything you need in one place. We welcome your suggestions!

Important Update to Admission Requirements

In addition to superscoring the SAT, Colgate will also superscore the ACT—meaning we will combine a student’s best subscores, even if they are from different test dates, to create the ACT composite we will use to evaluate an application.

We encourage students to submit all standardized test results to Colgate. Scores should be sent directly from the testing agency or on an official transcript.

Colgate does not require SAT subject tests, nor do we consider the SAT or ACT writing sections.

The academic record remains at the center of our evaluation, with many other factors contributing context and additional information. Testing continues to be a helpful part of our holistic review, and we believe this new policy will allow us to see evidence of each student’s best work.
