Useful Resources for Students

On-Campus Resources

Center for Women's Studies

The Center for Women's Studies is a multipurpose space where students, faculty, and staff can gather both formally and informally to discuss a multitude of topics that span the feminist spectrum and consider the intersectionality of identities and various forms of oppression.

We offer students the following resources:
  • Free male and female condoms, dental dams, and lubricant
  • Brochures on breast and testicular self-examinations, STIs, and contraceptives
  • Directions for male and female condom use
  • Information about rape and sexual assault, dating violence, and eating disorders

Student Health Services

Student Health Services serves all Colgate students as a primary care facility. Visit the Student Health Services website to learn more.

Satellite Clinic

Services:
  • General health care and immunizations
  • Testing for sexually transmitted infections
  • Free condoms
  • Emergency contraception
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Loans for abortions
  • Rape kits and pelvic exams, however, nurses are not SANE-trained (sexual assault nurse examiners)

Counseling and Psychological Services

The Counseling Center encourages the intellectual, emotional, and social development of all our students, helping them to cultivate a genuine sense of meaning and purpose in their lives. Visit the Counseling Center website to learn more.

Appointments are necessary, and you can schedule your appointment online. We offer counseling and support for:

LGBTQ Initiatives

LGBTQ Initiatives is dedicated to supporting our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally students by enhancing diversity and visibility throughout the campus community.
